About this artwork
With the arrival of Spring in Melbourne, I have been fully inspired by all the magic of its vibrancy and colours. Spring is also romantic, and the vibrant purple and green helps me to express that feeling. My inspiration for this painting on paper is a gorgeous bunch of purple roses, surrounded by green rose petals. I used a mix of different mediums, in an expressive style, letting my feelings guide each brush of paint. I had fun too, using acrylic…
ink to create the idea of stems and petals. There is a hint of blue, as our days in Melbourne have been filled with blue skies and sunshine. This special painting will brighten any space, and remind you that romance is alive!
