About this artwork
In this impressive work, the artist Sarrés shows us those imaginary poles of our planet, one much more aggressive in the form of a tiger that tears the planet as if it were its prey and at the same time another pole with the tenderness and sensitivity of butterflies and symbolizing rebirth.
In this work Sarrés wants to express his idea that from the blood spilled, whether by wars, natural disasters or various misfortunes, life always returns and… this is unstoppable no matter how much other lives disappear more or less abruptly or due to situations that human beings themselves cause.
Sarrés also suggests how the movement of a simple butterfly can cause changes in the world around us and that everything is connected to a greater or lesser extent.
It is a very symbolic and fascinating work in which a boy and a girl represent return, that nothing is over and that everything is a cycle that can and should continue.
