This little piece is my ode to the pause.
Not the lazy kind, but the delicious, chosen kind.
The kind where you lean back, let the world spin without you for a moment, and maybe even enjoy being a little mischievous about it.
The birds know.
They’re not just sitting there for decoration , they’re in on it, keeping her company, sharing the secret that doing nothing can feel like a small rebellion.
And of course, I couldn’t resist the golden glitter.… Because stillness doesn’t have to be dull , it can shimmer, wink, and remind us that rest has its own kind of radiance.
It’s a small painting, but it carries a truth I keep circling back to: sometimes the bravest, most beautiful thing is to do nothing at all… and to do it well.
