Series: Emotional Oasis
Grounded is an artwork that embodies my personal journey of connection to both nature and community. As I created this piece, I wanted to express the profound sense of stability and belonging that I’ve found in various environments throughout my life. The artwork reflects my experiences of feeling anchored, whether amidst the tranquillity of nature or the vibrancy of urban life.
In this artwork, I employed earthy tones… and organic textures to evoke the warmth and solidity I associate with the natural world. While working on it, I felt a deep connection to the landscapes that have shaped my identity, and I aimed to illustrate how these surroundings influence our emotions and sense of self. The contrasting elements in the piece represent the duality of our existence—the need for both nature's serenity and the energy of human connection.
