About this artwork
In creating this piece of British writer and intellectual Christopher Hitchens, I sought to capture the intense, raw emotion of a moment of fervent expression. Utilizing acrylics, watercolour, and ink, I blended figurative realism with impressionistic touches to convey the depth and passion of the subject's speech. The warm, earthy tones paired with the dynamic strokes reflect the vigour and conviction of the oratory, inviting a bold, thought-provoking… ambiance into any space. This painting is a homage to the power of voice and the impact of articulate expression in our lives.
