About this artwork
In crafting this sculpture, I poured my soul into bronze, seeking to embody a tangible sense of liberation. Arms outstretched, the figure soars with abandon—its form, a silent chorus of freedom's song. This piece is my ode to release; a vision of humanity unshackled, its spirit unbound. Envision it gracing your space, a perennial reminder of the expanse within.
Freedom is not what you wear, what you eat, where you go or where you stay... Freedom,… true freedom is right within… in essence… The effort to realize the freedom of the soul is like the first step from apprenticeship to mastery.
In order to be truly liberated, one must first regain oneself… one must honestly face all of his truths… until he is naked…
When you start to face the real you for the first time, you deny yourself, you make up innocent excuses for yourself… a painful process begins, just before acceptance, every bone in your body hurts as if one by one, one by one…

Seda Eyüboğlu is a sculptor based in Istanbul, Türkiye whose works have been exhibited nationally and in various European countries susch as Italy, Germany. In her abstract and figurative pieces, she fuses emotion with the organic nature of clay. Eyüboğlu employs varying techniques that focus on texture, light, and the balance of shadows to create a sense of harmony comprised of "full and empty concepts, as well as an asymmetric rhythm within the symmetry".
