About this artwork
Two profiles brush past each other: on the left, an angular silhouette carved in gray and red, like an architect's mask; on the right, a golden woman whose round eye watches, her flesh encircled by a black line that cuts out the world. The background, a pink and blue mosaic, buzzes with echoes. The gesture is simple—a hand to the ear—but everything wavers: lines collide, volumes fit together, intimacy plays out in geometry.
I wanted to paint the… fragile moment when we choose to listen. I broke up the shapes to better make the other's voice vibrate, letting a clean line run to hold together the rustling of the decor and the warmth of the bodies. Here, I affirm that attention is an act: it sculpts space, softens angles, and makes the encounter possible.
