The artist Sergei Sologub was born in 1957 in Kirovograd in the former Soviet Union. Today this city is part of Ukraine. He studied at the Art Academy Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg, Russia) from 1978 - 1982, then at the Moscow Film School from 1982-1988. Sologub has worked as a freelance artist since moving to Germany in 1991. His paintings demonstrate the artist's technical skill, depicting landscapes, urbanity, and scenes of semi-surrealism.
