About this artwork
In crafting this piece, I delved into the soulful essence of music, translating the rhythmic beats and harmonious melodies of jazz into vibrant colors and dynamic forms. The figure, immersed in her instrument, becomes a visual symphony, her passion palpable. This artwork pulsates with life, aiming to stir the spirit and infuse any space with the candid, improvisational energy of a live jazz performance.

« When the colors are on the palette, I start singing with them. »
Sergey Khachatryan is an experienced artist based in Armenia whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in Russia, Czechia, and Belgium. Inspired by the colors employed in traditional Armenian miniature art, his rural images invoke his childhood memories. Khachatryan describes his abstractions as being his "soul's intervention", where consciousness is nearly absent. He most often creates with oils on canvas.
