From the perspective of the postmodern traveller, national roads are becoming less and less relevant. Tourists and travellers use low-cost airlines, motorways and high-speed trains, in a hurry to reach their destination quickly. Roads are left for migrants on buses that cross the Peninsula, for professionals and for local residents on their daily commute between their chores and… their homes.
