About this artwork
Schoeman's cello concerto plays in the background. A temporary, delicate and touching work. As if not sewn to the end. As in life. (The composer was already hospitalized).
My image has gone through several incarnations. Those who draw must know this, there are pictures that come out baked right away without the need for any improvements. And others like this, go through a process of trial and error. The image has a clear musical structure. It has… a built-in tension between random forms and structured structured forms. The expression of everything is very subtle, and vague, and requires active observation to decipher. Painted with putties only.
