About this artwork
In the creation of this artwork I used a thick brush, and a little use of the spatula.
The olive tree which appears already in the bible, accompanied me in my childhood,
The experience of standing beside an ancient olive tree is similar to that of meeting with my love.
each trunk of an ancient olive tree o is a statue in its' own right,
I photographed ancient olive tress forty years ago and till this day I have hundreds of photographs.
I painted… olive trees dancing int he sky as an expression of them appearing in my dreams.

Shalev Mann is a painter and photographer based in Israel where he has exhibited his compositions in both solo and group events. His abstract and abstract figurative artworks reflect his emotional state of mind concerning his "biographical background" In addition, Mann is fascinated by the relationship between light and the color of space. Through his art, he invites viewers to make their own discoveries. He is also deeply influenced by classical chamber music, which he listens to when creating.
