About this artwork
I got the inspiration for the painting from listening to an excellent performance of Schoenberg's string sextet "
Verklärte Nacht".
A dramatic, emotional and compressed work with relatively few a-tonal touches to Schoenberg.
I felt a desire to express in the painting something emotional, hot, crowded, erupting and relaxing.
The painting that came out is quite unusual in the entirety of my works.
Readers interested in my work will be able to find… traces of the following stages in the picture:
* Creating a strong background infrastructure in red, dark red and orange.
* Construction of a sun-like pattern by gestures in circles.
* Add colors with touches: green, yellow, orange, pink, blue and white. Break and expose the depth patterns. All operations were performed with the help of a putty.
The finished painting tries to express an array of contrasts:
Round patterns and breaking.free.
Warm bright colors versus cold dark touches.
Central focus versus dispersal.
