About this artwork
“The Leader in Charge” is my tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and the power of peaceful resistance. I created this piece to honor his courage, simplicity, and unshakable belief in truth and justice. Through layered textures, handwritten scripts, and symbolic color contrasts, I wanted to capture not just his likeness, but the spirit of his philosophy — one that teaches us that true strength lies in compassion and integrity.
The muted tones reflect humility… and calmness, while the bold red elements symbolize the fire of revolution and sacrifice. Gandhi’s ability to unite people through nonviolence continues to inspire me deeply, and this painting is my way of carrying that message forward.
Through this work, I wanted to remind viewers that leadership is not about power — it’s about purpose, empathy, and the quiet determination to create change.
