“BABE” is my tribute to the women who have been both idolized and misunderstood — the ones who carried confidence like armor while quietly battling the weight of expectation. Inspired by the timeless allure of Marilyn Monroe, I wanted to capture not just her beauty but her complexity, vulnerability, and strength.
In this piece, the bold reds and layered textures represent the chaos of fame and the noise of societal judgment, while the softness of… her expression reveals the human behind the image. I combined oil, acrylic, spray paint, and collage to mirror the tension between glamour and authenticity — between how the world sees women and how we truly see ourselves.
