Revisionist history refers to the reinterpretation of historical events, often challenging established narratives and perspectives. It involves questioning commonly held beliefs and offering new interpretations based on fresh evidence or a different understanding of the past. While the term can have both positive and negative connotations, it generally implies a critical… examination of existing historical accounts to provide a more nuanced and complete understanding of the past. In the case of my satirical painting Revisionist history is a freaking lit up clustercuss of redactions, ghosts and redirects.
