About this artwork
In a whirl of passion, I brought to life this bold abstract painting, guided by raw emotion and the dance of colors. With every stroke of acrylic, gouache, and the lines drawn by pencil and pen, I embraced chaos and harmony. The use of charcoal and ink adds depth, while colored pencils hint at underlying complexity. Its vibrant energy promises to invigorate any space, offering an open narrative to inspire and provoke thought in your home.

« There is always a way to find purpose and sense in the beauty of this dishevelled, senseless yet perfectly gorgeous world. Making art about that beauty is meaningful and worthy." »
Shep Marshall is an American painter who has exhibited nationally. She engages a number of themes within her works through various series, which include skeletal and body paintings stemming from an accident she sustained in a car crash. Marshall’s compositions are a blend of color and abstract imagery, evoking the essence of an emotion. Discovery and play are a large part of her creative process, as she uses various tools with water-based mediums on paper, canvas and wood.
