About this artwork
This painting was birthed from a childhood memory. This is a painting from a Carnival. A carnival that was probably a part of almost everyone's childhood. I have always had a love for Carousel horses. I loved the movement in their manes, and tails, and the way that they always had that wild, free, faraway look in their eyes. Then there was always the bright colors in their bridals and saddles. As you can see in my work I am a big fan of color…
and texture. This little girl reminded me of me when we were leaving the carnival and my dad would buy me ice cream.
