About this artwork
This painting was from a field of sunflowers in Ashville, North Carolina in the United States. I was inspired by the outfit that the young woman had on as she stood surrounded by a sea of well lit sunflowers. This is why I named this piece "The Garden of Light." I used oil paint because I love the way that you can blend them and the richness of the color. I was hoping to make this painting as impressionistic as possible as I tried to channel my…
