« Beauty is in the details; I allow my work to follow an accidental course to create paintings that have movement, fluidity, contrast and multiple layers. »
U.S. painter Sheryl Daane has a degree in printmaking, but has more recently moved to more abstract and figurative work. Inspired by nature, Daane hopes to shine a light on the fragility of the earth by showing the beauty in its details. Daane's experimental process involves using polymers and metals with oil and acrylic paint. With rough strokes and blocks of color, Daane's paintings are elemental and expressive.
