About this artwork
People sit in a street cafe with a glass of beer. The artist was on site and captured the scene with the oil paints on the canvas. Sibylle Bross, an award-winning painter and draftsman who resides in Germany, has exhibited nationally as well as in Russia. Having previously focused on the figurative, landscapes have increasingly played an important role in her works. In addition to working on larger compositions in the studio, Bross also travels and plein air paints. She translates her interpretation of the landscape into light and color with oils on canvas.
