About this artwork
The large format mixed media work is created through construction and deconstruction. A recurring process. The series shows a reduced approach with areas of color in yellow, white, black and green. In addition, spaces in the work are additionally set by inserting thin, fine paper prints. Lines, scratches, smears, overpainting and sand are used to create a relationship between the picture elements.

Sieglinde Weindl is an established multidisciplinary artist with international exposure. Her pieces are created by printing her original photographs onto a thin sheet of paper and adding acrylic paint and pigments before coating the work with wax. Her multi-media paintings are often inspired by poetry and explore themes related to freedom and joy.
