About this artwork
Captured in Fellerich, this photograph explores the threshold between visibility and disappearance. Dense morning fog softens the landscape into near abstraction, where forms dissolve into light and only faint traces of presence remain. A distant building and a solitary street lamp emerge gently from the mist, offering quiet points of reference within an otherwise boundless atmosphere.
The image moves beyond documentation, becoming an exploration… of perception—how little is needed to suggest space, place, and memory. Subtle tonal transitions and restrained composition invite the viewer into a contemplative experience, where the visible world feels suspended and transient.
Part of my ongoing Near Home series, this work reflects a sensitivity to fleeting moments when the familiar becomes almost unrecognizable.
