I am endlessly fascinated by mist in nature. In autumn, it often drapes the landscape where I live, and I love to wander with my camera during those times.
Mist transforms the world—it softens forms, dissolves details, and leaves behind only what feels essential. What is visible seems to float, while everything else recedes into the unknown. This veil of white creates a sense of mystery, as though something might be hiding just beyond perception.…
The emotions it evokes are ever-changing: sometimes the mist feels joyful and liberating, opening up a sense of freedom; at other times, it carries an unsettling presence, as if danger could suddenly emerge from its depths. This shifting atmosphere is what draws me to capture it, again and again.
