About this artwork
In this piece, I've captured a mood with acrylic paints that is both calming and mysterious. The flowing transitions from blue to green leave room for dreams and thoughts, like glimpsing a hidden landscape. It's meant to bring energy and tranquility into the home, as if one were immersing oneself in nature and drawing new strength from it.

Silke Hemelt is a self-taught artist working with acrylics on canvas, often enhancing her paintings with modeling paste and textured varnish, reflecting her deep connection to nature. Her works combine realism and abstract elements: the beloved landscape remains ever-present, its atmosphere palpable through her brush and palette knife techniques. She captures the changing seasons and encourages viewers to experience a moment of peace, longing, and respite from everyday life through her impressionistic depictions of nature.
