Especially in our times, humorous and funny people are the icing on… the cake. I love it when people laugh and have fun.
But above all, I think people who can laugh at themselves and make a joke about themselves are simply great!
They give life the right spice, just like salt in the soup.

Silke von Clarmann is a freelance artist who studied art history and business administration. For more than 20 years, she has been intensively involved with painting, developing a distinctive visual language that lies between figuration and abstraction.
The focus of her work is humanity – with its flaws, vulnerabilities, and everything that lies beneath the surface. Particularly in her portraits of women, she combines meticulously crafted elements with open, sketchy, and intuitive sections. Her abstract works also emerge from this tension between control and letting go.
