Silvana Verdini (b. 1989) is a Franco-Mexican painter based in Mexico City whose practice is rooted in lyrical abstraction. Her large-format oil paintings on canvas are governed by embodied gesture and direct chromatic application, generating surfaces alive with physical force and sustained energetic movement. She studied Visual Design and Communication at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), graduating summa cum laude and receiving the Gabino Barreda Medal in 2014, and has exhibited in group shows in Monterrey and Mexico City.
