Self-portrait. Double exposure technique, single shot. The first photograph captures the delicate beauty of the Abutilon megapotamicum flower. This flower is native to Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. When taking the double exposure, I never imagined I could achieve such remarkable synchronicity between my self-portrait and the flower. This gave me even more confidence in my work. It's one of my most cherished photographs.
Print on cotton paper, museum… quality. Signed and numbered. Certificate of authenticity.

Silvina Batista (Argentina, 1973) is a contemporary fine art photographer whose work explores identity, inner states, and symbolic landscapes through stages of photography and poetic self-portraiture. Rooted in a conceptual approach, her practice uses the body as a narrative device, constructing images that oscillate between presence and absence, intimacy and distance. Her photographs evoke silent atmospheres, where light, gesture, and space become carriers of emotional and symbolic meaning. Batista's work has been exhibited in Argentina and internationally. Her artistic book of self-portarits is part of the permanent collection of The Center Ceramique Library in Maastricht, the Netherlands. She has been recommended by Singulart Gallery for presentation to galleries participating in Paris Photo, reinforcing the international projection of her work within the contemporary photography scene. She currently lives and works in Argentina. Not AI.
