I poured my soul into this oil painting, embracing the essence of figurative expression. With each stroke, I sought to capture the silent bonds between a man and his loyal companion, the quiet companionship that speaks volumes. This artwork is a testament to the unspoken love and trust; a narrative frozen in time, yet whispering tales of mutual understanding and shared moments. It will radiate warmth and depth, adding an emotional layer to your living…

Simon Blackley
United Kingdom
Simon Blackley, grounded in oil on bespoke 6:00 am grey, channels his visceral Tate Modern epiphany with Francis Bacon's influence. His bold, large-format works peel back layers, dissecting detail to unearth a sub-painting, while striving with the raw discipline of portraiture. Blackley's art resonates with a relentless authenticity, inviting viewers to grapple with memories and see the world refracted through his unapologetic vision.
