About this artwork
"Synthesis #2" is the second work of the current series "Synthesis". This series, begun at the end of 2021, explores the dissolution of existing forms and the composition into a new entity that begins with it. In previous series coherent forms now begin to move, as it were, through the space and to seek their new position.

Simone Florell's paintings explore the needs of our stone age brains and our original impulses. The German artist also examines social structures, the fragility and dynamics of human relationships, anthropology, psychology and personal development, as well as culture and fear. Florell creates using acrylics on thick paper. The colored areas are applied with a brush and sponge, others are made up of layers of glaze.
