Simone Florell's paintings explore the needs of our stone age brains and our original impulses. The German artist also examines social structures, the fragility and dynamics of human relationships, anthropology, psychology and personal development, as well as culture and fear. Florell creates using acrylics on thick paper. The colored areas are applied with a brush and sponge, others are made up of layers of glaze.
