About this artwork
For "Blue Planet," I chose a mix of structural abstract acrylic painting and various layering techniques. My goal was to create depth and movement—a painting that draws the viewer into another world.
I enjoy working with impasto, applying the paint in thick layers to create a vibrant texture. The structure gives the work an almost tangible surface, as if time itself has left its mark. I apply the paint with a palette knife and spread it in organic… movements, creating exciting transitions and contrasts.
Layering is particularly important to me – I build the painting in multiple layers, creating a deep play of colors. By carefully applying and partially covering individual layers of color, I allow underlying tones to shine through, creating a natural, almost geological depth. This painting brings character and elegance to any room.
