The Japanese Cherry Tree – Symbol of Ephemeral Beauty
The Japanese cherry tree, or *sakura*, is much more than just a tree: it is a cultural icon, a living poem, a symbol of the fragile and fleeting beauty of life. Each spring, its delicate flowers dress the landscapes in pink and white clouds, transforming streets, parks and gardens into dreamlike scenes. I like to work its structure in abstraction and by using artificial cherry blossoms I give… a beautiful structure to this tree. The work is created with Indian ink and acrylic. It is on canvas and stretched on a frame.
