Sinan Hussein is an award-winning artist based in the United States whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Bahrain. His works are inspired by ancient Mesopotamia, the splendor of its history, and the horrifying present. Hussein's contemporary compositions are almost surrealist in his juxtaposition of characters and odd objects. For him, they are living metaphors of the past.
