About this artwork
According to the Butterfly Effect, any variation in systems with the same initial circumstances will undoubtedly generate situations where both systems will obtain completely different results. This implies that if a small initial intervention occurs in a system, it may have an unexpected effect on the development and end of this system. From this the Chaos Theory is born.
With this in mind, the Butterfly Effect work wants to refer to the chaos… that our decisions generate and the unknown effect that they have in our lives; It is inevitable to change course in our path according to the decisions made, to live with doubts and uncertainties of what our life may or may not have been. It is a fact that death is not affected by the decisions made and the effect they have on our lives. Life and our decisions are a sure path to our death. The question is how do I want to reach that inevitable end.

Having lived in Mexico for seven years, Baraya also has great respect and affinity for Mexican aesthetics and cultural traditions.
