Each of the overlapping branches of this cedar, a national tree, represents the Lebanese families who left their homes behind to find new ways in new countries and how each of them carried among their memories the most valuable tradition: love and dedication to the family.

Sofía Baraya is an award-winning Colombian artist whose multi-dimensional works have been exhibited nationally. The painter, draftsman, and sculptor's compositions delve into themes relating to the reflection of the true self, hidden beauty, as well as the effect and the role that decisions play in the direction of our lives. Having lived in Mexico for seven years, Baraya also has great respect and affinity for Mexican aesthetics and cultural traditions.
