About this artwork
I paint like someone who dances or prays: with my body surrendered to a greater power that organizes chaos. I work in layers, like someone who excavates. Painting allows me to inhabit a sacred space without needing to define it other than with shapes and colors born from intuition, allowing painting to become a space of contact.
I move between the abstract and the symbolic, as if in a game. Sometimes everyday objects that have always interested… me slip through the net, like tables, fruit, dresses, figures. Other times, only traces, gestures, vibrations remain. I work with shapes that disguise themselves as others, with colors that suggest bodies, objects, emotions. When I paint, I feel like a child creating worlds, breaking rules, and starting over.
Right now, my quest is to experiment with energy, matter, and their infinite transformation. The birth and death that constantly occurs. The emptiness that is filled. That is fertile. I'm interested in what pulsates, what moves if
