"Tranquillity" does not only represent the cycle of life and death.
With this painting I searched for a specific representation of the hidden beauty of something terrifying. I searched for an emotion, for that deep feeling of happiness and gratitude, balancing between the feeling of darkness and defeat. Walking through the hot, silent sands of the desert its hard not to think of the world and life. They both can be so generous and at the same time… bring pain.

In her artistic process, Albee endeavors to disconnect and dissolve her human side, as she quietly observes and absorbs nature.
