You know the feeling of being comfortably lying down sunbathing, reading or doing what you like most in a place that is home for you, and suddenly something destroys that balance?
The work focuses on the moment when the balance is broken, for this reason the artist has chosen to accentuate the contrast between lights and shadows, creating a surreal scene with a background of drama that normally does not suit the context represented. The need to… create this painting made its way into her after finally taking the spatial, temporal and emotional distance from her personal experience of breaking the balance: deviating from the established path is never easy but it offers the priceless opportunity to reinvent yourself and discover new perspectives.
