About this artwork
The relief associated with the powerful ultramarine blue that I used for this canvas gives the work a depth which, when confronted with the few finely golden details, amplifies its luminosity. With this painting which evokes the sea seen from the sky, I wanted to give a feeling of height.
« I like to confront colors and materials to create a vibration and provide energy. »
Sonia Di Maccio is an established painter based in the south of France.
A graduate of ENSAAMA Paris (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et Métiers d'Art), she began her career in advertising where she held several creative positions – roughwoman, illustrator, model maker and then art director, notably within the Euro RSCG agency (Havas).
She now paints nature in all its forms with passion. Thanks to her intuitive selection of colors and the textures that acrylic allows her to achieve, she captures the beauty of nature in a changing world to evoke emotion. Her works, characterized by luminosity and the power of color, resonate with joy and visual harmony. Her works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions and shows across France and Europe.
