About this artwork
Avec Soleil couchant, ma composition s’articule autour d’un noyau central en mouvement dans un format carré pour créer un espace immersif où le regard est invité à plonger dans la matière.
Les tonalités orangées et pourpres symbolisent l’énergie solaire, tandis que les bleus incarnent la fluidité et la vie intérieure.
Ici, le travail de texture que j’ai apposé, donne aux couleurs une présence tactile qui paraît bouillonner. Cette matière, n’est… pas uniquement là pour symboliser du relief mais pour créer une vibration et une confrontation entre la lumière et l’obscurité.
Cette œuvre s’inscrit dans ma recherche autour des éléments : le feu, l’eau, la lumière et de leur dialogue constant.
Soleil couchant qui évoque la tension où le jour bascule vers la nuit, est une invitation à contempler cet instant fragile où tout semble encore possible.

Sonia Di Maccio is an established painter based in the south of France.
A graduate of ENSAAMA Paris (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et Métiers d'Art), she began her career in advertising where she held several creative positions – roughwoman, illustrator, model maker and then art director, notably within the Euro RSCG agency (Havas).
She now paints nature in all its forms with passion. Thanks to her intuitive selection of colors and the textures that acrylic allows her to achieve, she captures the beauty of nature in a changing world to evoke emotion.
Her works, characterized by luminosity and the power of color, resonate with joy and visual harmony. Her works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions and shows across France and Europe.
