About this artwork
In this series of works on paper, I sought above all to play and enjoy the possibilities of the gestural nature of the stroke and the use of colour. They are very spontaneous paintings, where there is hardly an initial sketch and they are totally intuitive, sometimes going to cold colours and other times to warm ones depending on the emotions of the moment, since I made them at a time that was difficult on a personal level, as I had just lost a loved…
one. Painting at that time served as a vehicle for me to balance myself and the play and richness of strokes and gestures were a search for a symbolic language that replaced my thoughts and words.
In essence, this series is abstract painting in its broadest sense, the material and my own personal drive are what form the result.
