In this work, I have captured the magic of the red sun setting over Capri. With soft, warm hues that move across the sea in gentle, reddish-golden shimmering waves. A feeling of peace, gratitude, and longing for distant lands. Joy at being able to be in this place. Only in summer does the fiery red sun set directly behind Capri. I watch this spectacle from the Cilento coast. People gather on the shores, filled with bliss; this peaceful atmosphere…

Sonja Kalmanfi dedicates her artistic work with extraordinary consistency to the Cilento region in southern Italy.
