About this artwork
La capitale segreta – the secret capital, Vallo della Lucania in the Cilento region of southern Italy. Magnificent treasures are hidden in the city's narrow streets, creating a fairytale atmosphere. It's a place I love to return to, to admire and be captivated by. I primed the painting with acrylic paint and created the texture and details with soft pastels.

Sonja Kalmanfi dedicates her artistic work with extraordinary consistency to the Cilento region in southern Italy. She lived there for extended periods, returns regularly, and exhibits her work there.
