"Warm wind blows over a time long past,
I look down the Via Sacra,
Air shimmers on the horizon,
the scent of cypresses,
the concert of the cicadas,
the taste of dust, voices in the distance..."
I'm standing in Paestum, between mountains and sea. This place is the gateway to Cilento National Park and the beginning of every journey into this region. "Via Sacra - Vento caldo" is a deep inner feeling, a pivotal experience… that catches up with me with every journey and immerses me in the feeling of coming home...
The focal point of my work is the cypress tree; it gives me a sense of vitality, both within and outside. It blends into its surroundings as an integral part of nature. It radiates immortality and strength, casting its shadow ahead, where I have sat so often, deeply connected, letting it tell its stories...
