Blue Bloods has been a moniker that for centuries has been associated with Europe’s aristocracy, originating with the Spanish monarchy. During the 8th century, the Spanish monarchs strove to keep their bloodlines separate from those of the invading Moors, allowing their skin colour to remain pale and their blood vessels to remain visibly blue through their translucent… skin, thus giving rise to the term, ‘blue bloods’.
Over time, the term spread through Europe, finding acceptance and a home with the English where it was used in reference to their own monarchs.
There is little doubt as to which English car companies are the aristocracy of the automotive world. They are the gold standard of luxury cars, a standard that few can afford.
