About this artwork
Through using everyday 'domestic’ recycled materials, my work is part of a historical process.
Whether it is the surplus material from a friend refurbishing their front room or a paint donation
from a neighbour emptying their shed, what I use has been on a journey.

« It's the weathered brick that has something to say. »
Sophie Capron, a painter from the United Kingdom, has exhibited nationally as well as in France and Germany. Her art examines the relationship between humans and nature. Capron feels that many people deny the rust, rot, and decay of daily life, while nature has other plans. The materials she uses in her works are heavily recycled. Canvases, paints, and pencils are reused, covered and uncovered, through sanding and the application of acrylic paints.
