About this artwork
In this work, with its soothing, vegetal tones, I wanted to capture that suspended moment between presence and absence, between a desire for movement and inner stillness. The female figure, enveloped in a pareo with tropical motifs, seems inhabited by a silent, almost meditative waiting.
The materials, the reliefs, and the touches of gold create a subtle dialogue between strength and vulnerability. The deep green evokes Polynesian nature, calm,… and time gently stretching out, while the vertical lines suggest an inner framework, an invisible structure in which something new is maturing.
An invitation to welcome these moments of pause where, in apparent stillness, life continues to transform.
