A Mana Story – Diptyque
A story of mana evokes the transmission of ancestral strength between a mother and her son. The spear, highly symbolic, embodies the Polynesian warrior heritage—and more specifically that of the Marquesas Islands—not as a weapon of combat, but as a conduit of mana, courage, and protection.
The vegetation envelops the figures and connects human transmission to the forces of life. It reminds us that mana is not transmitted… only through gesture, but also through being rooted in the earth, in our roots, and in the memory of our ancestors.
A diptych on the lineage, transmission and continuity of a vital power, at once warlike, spiritual and profoundly organic.
