42 interchangeable pieces hanging on pegs can be rearranged almost endlessly. One side of each piece is black and the other has a colour or is black as well. The act of decision making to change the order continually gives new versions of the artwork. Contemplating the new image for minutes, hours… or days can become acts of meditation.
The materials are wood that has been flame torched and sealed. The treatment gives a timeless quality similar to the relics and talismans that are used in ancient wisdom ceremonies.
